Baconian Swamp
Baconian Swamp, located on the property ‘Tupra’ near Oxley, and upstream of the Great Cumbung Swamp. The ephemeral swamp is recognised as an important bird and frog breeding area. It is dominated by River Red Gum forest which grows on low mounds and also across the lower channels in places. The swamp, which covers approximately 800 ha, is filled from moderate level flows in the lachlan River.
