Decision Making

A number of components including the type of environmental water, the amount of environmental water available and the wetland selection process will be addressed within this management plan. The decision framework below summarises these components and indicates the links between each. The Lachlan Riverine Working Group, through the Lachlan Environmental Water Management Plan, must also ensure a consistent approach with State and Commonwealth plans and environmental watering criteria, this includes addressing the Basin Plan, being developed by the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder’s criteria for environmental watering and the NSW Office of Environment  and Heritage plans and criteria, including RiverBank.
